Cubico volunteers support Rossendale Civic Pride at Trickett’s Memorial Garden

A team of five team members from Cubico spent a sunny Monday morning on 22nd September volunteering with Rossendale Civic Pride, helping to maintain Trickett’s Memorial Garden in Rawtenstall.

The team rolled up their sleeves to cut back overgrown bushes, clear weeds and tidy paths, joining local volunteers who work tirelessly to keep Rossendale’s green spaces looking their best.

The activity is part of our long-term commitment to the area – taking the time to get to know local communities, listen to their views and build relationships that will grow with the project, and, if approved, continue well into the wind farm’s lifespan.

Peter Rowe, Project Lead for Scout Moor II at Cubico said: “Getting stuck in alongside Rossendale Civic Pride was a fantastic experience for the team. The work Civic Pride do to keep Rossendale’s public spaces vibrant and welcoming is inspiring, and we are proud to have played a small part in supporting their efforts. It was great to hear about the history of the garden and how Rossendale Civic Pride has transformed it over the past decade into such a valued community asset at the heart of Waterfoot”

Cubico looks forward to continuing its partnership with local groups across Rossendale, Rochdale and beyond as plans for Scout Moor II progress. If you represent a community interest, we encourage you to register on our website and would be delighted to hear from you and discuss the community wealth fund as well as future volunteering opportunities.
